Single track roads make up a large part of the routes around Skye. Vehicles get by each other at passing places which look like small lay-bys. Three simple rules to remember when driving on single track roads are 1. Don't park in passing places, 2. keep to the left in passing places and 3. allow following (faster) traffic to overtake you at passing places.
